Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Nexus, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you are using Nexus on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

1. The Service

Nexus provides a web-based fee management platform for K-12 schools ("the Service"). The Service allows authorised school staff to manage student records, record fee payments, generate receipts, and view financial reports.

2. Accounts & Access

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • You must not share your account with anyone outside your school staff.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • One account per school. Creating duplicate school accounts is not permitted.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

  • Use the Service to store or transmit illegal, harmful, or fraudulent data.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise access the source code of the platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Access other schools' data or attempt to circumvent data isolation controls.
  • Use the Service for any purpose other than managing your school's fee records.

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of the data you enter into Nexus — student records, payment histories, and school information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate rights and consents to enter student and staff data into the platform, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

5. Plans & Billing

Nexus offers a free Starter plan and paid Pro and School plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as chosen at signup. Prices are listed in INR and are subject to applicable taxes.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

6. Beta Services

Features marked as "Beta" are provided as-is and may change or be discontinued. During the beta period, features may be offered free of charge; continued availability after the beta period is not guaranteed and may require a paid plan.

7. Service Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the Service and will provide notice where possible. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime.

8. Intellectual Property

The Nexus platform, including its design, code, and branding, is our intellectual property. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the Service as described here.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nexus and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days; after that period we may delete your data permanently.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days in advance by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
